Trade facilitation is an increasingly integral part of a country’s economic development. A sound development strategy should also cover digital governance in trade, trade promotion and trade relations management.

The Trade Facilitation Agreement concluded by the World Trade Organization  in December 2013, is a reflection of the increased priority given to reducing trade transaction costs and provides further impetus to undertake measures to facilitate trade.
