Publications:
Dr Tai-Chee WONG received his BA and MA from University of Paris (Urban & Regional Planning), and PhD from the Research School of Asian and Pacific Studies, Australian National University. He was formerly Dean & Professor at Southern University College, Johor Bahru Malaysia, and was Distinguished Professor at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics during 2013-2015. He was also visiting professor to Institute of Geography, University of Paris IV-Sorbonne in 2007, and was also visiting fellow to Tokyo University, Peking University and University of Western Australia.
He is the founding editor of the journal of Singapore Institute of Planners: Planning Studies and Practice. His main research interests are in urban and regional issues on which he has published a large number of articles in international journals such as Environment and Planning A, Land Use Policy, International Habitat, Urban Policy and Research, Geographical Review, Cities etc.
In professional practices, he was engaged as World Bank consultant during the Indonesian Transmigration programme in the 1980s, Executive Planner at Urban Redevelopment Authority, Singapore in early 1990s, and as senior consultant in Low-Carbon Planning of Zhaoqing New District, China in 2012-2013.
